IISH was established on the Sravana Pournami day in August 1999 and registered as a charitable trust (328/99/iv) at the end of the year. From then onwards the IISH has been undertaking the mission of learning and teaching the ultra ancient heritage of Bharath(India) using the ultra modern scientific and technological tools.

Bharatheeya vidya vihar is a school based on CBSE Syllabus and value based IISH syllabus has at present Std I to V and every year additions are taking place in higher classes and divisions.Bharatheeya Sisu Vihar where Preprimary, LKG and UKG students are enrolled with value based preliminary learning. Bharatheeya vidya vihar has a third wing which gives tuition classes for Std. IV to IX known as Bharatheeya Vijnaana Vihar.

Indian Institute of Scientific Heritage has taken spirituality as an important part of the Heritage studies. Social revolutions and eradication of the superstitions are possible through spiritual knowledge with a logical, rational and scientific approach. Hence Mazhuvanchery Mahadeva Temple rennovasted by IISH at its NHC campus, where people from all religion are welcome, is becoming an international center of learning Indian spirituality both theoretical and applied.
